I started reading a lot more, and I wanted something nice to use. I'd been marking my place with whatever random object was lying around, so I decided to just make one.

I took the proportions from the Apple TV remote, which I've always thought was quietly perfect. It's a single piece of anodized aluminum, so it weighs almost nothing. I never shipped it, but I still use it every day.
